I was fascinated with the massive pile of shoes outside the girls dorm each day. Everyone that had a pair of shoes new exactly which ones were their own...the fascinating part is that the "pair" wasn't actually a matching pair, just two shoes.
This sweet girl let me take a picture of her shoes and then we got a picture together. She just exudes sweetness!!

I freaking LOVE that shoe picture. THAT is what 3rd-world-Africa is all about, eh?... being completely happy with what we consider completely unacceptable.
