Bear Lake Vacation

It's always nice to get away for a little vacation, even if it is only over the mountain. The water at Bear Lake was so high this past year...the highest it has been in over a decade. That made the water extra dirty because it picked up all the dirt from the beach. Rebekah kept drinking the water when she got in the lake! YUCK! She loved this vacation so much she kept asking for weeks to go back to the water. It was fun to hang out with Lisa, Andrew, and Kate and Jen and Mike, too. Ali and Steve even came up for a little visit. I can't wait to do it again!

Rebekah ate her ice cream and then decided the bowl was the perfect size for her baby's crib. She is so inventive!

Rebekah is 1 yeard old!

I can't believe my baby girl is one year old. Time has gone by so fast. I feel like I am so far behind in recording her life. That's part of what we call "mom guilt". There is always more to do or more we could do or more we thought we should do. I just remind myself that she is happy and well taken care of. We love her so much!

Rebekah got a bean bag and pillow for her birthday because she likes to chill.
These are some other things she received for her birthday.

Purses, necklaces, and clothes...

she is such a girly-girl! :)

Yummy chocolate cake!

Baby cousin: Kate Mackenzie Robanske

and clothes of course!

I took a picture of Rebekah when she was exactly one year old. Yes, she is sleeping on the floor in front of her crib. She HATES her crib but sleeps all through the night on the floor. She has for several months. I made the crib into a toddler bed after this and she sleeps just fine in that. I guess she just doesn't like enclosed spaces. I can't blame her, I hated my crib as a baby, too!

Rebekah likes Santa

SAD!
Checking this guy out...
and she ended up liking him.

I was panicking almost all of December because I kept missing the opportunity to take Rebekah to see Santa. In my ideal expectation of myself, I thought I had to do this in order to be a good mom. Ryan helped me know that it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things and Lisa helped me realize that it wouldn't take very long. So, 20 minutes before they closed on Christmas Eve we went to visit Santa. I'm glad we went. She looks so cute! I think we got some good pictures!
