Can I Possibly Be Spoiling Her?

Rebekah is getting very opinionated. She knows what she wants and likes and is very content when she has it. But if I don't give it to her...she throws a fit. Hmmm...isn't it a little early for temper tantrums? I can't decide if it is best to just let her have what she wants within reason and thus teach her to be confident in her feelings or to not give her what she wants. My gut goes with the first way. I think the second way shows her that Ryan and I are in charge. What good does that do really at 6 months? Looking down the road...I would rather her not drink alcohol because we've taught her true principles and she doesn't want to rather than because we told her not to. I think I need to read a book on parenting! AGAIN!

Reminiscence

Yesterday was Ryan and my 2nd anniversary of our first official date. We both remember on that night when we were walking to the car after he picked me up that there were fireworks in the sky. So what if it was for the 24th of July! We decided (individually) that is must be a sign. We had many "signs" during our courtship that helped us know that we were made for each other. But the biggest thing was the confirmation of the Spirit that told us it was good and right to be married. It only took my 4 dates to receive that confirmation. I don't know how long it took Ryan. However, I do remember some days were hard because I thought he had changed his mind. He didn't, I was just scared. :) Well, it's been two years and I love him all the same. We have a beautiful daughter and experiences that have helped us grow closer together. I thank my Father in Heaven for such a wonderful blessing. We have a great marriage. I have married a very good man and we have a very special daughter. I look forward to what more the Lord has in store for us.

The doctor still says Rebekah doesn't weigh enough...I say whatever. Her legs are so chunky and she eats all the time. She's healthy and that's what matters...so NO, I'm still not going to supplement with formula. Thank you very much! :)

Ryan's Dirty Thirty Party

We surprised Ryan with a Dirty Thirty birthday party and met him with silly string and confetti at the door!

Turns our Ryan had a hard day...and coming home to a bunch of friends and family made him feel a lot better. Thanks everyone for coming!

7 Months and Counting...more belly pics

7 Months and Counting...

Rebekah is growing bigger and bigger each day now...I am grateful that Lynette wanted to take pictures of my belly. I love feeling Rebekah move and can't help but wonder now what she looks like. There is nothing like having a baby grow inside of me. I am so grateful for this great blessing and thank Heavenly Father for it always. I know that not everyone gets this experience and it breaks my heart. I am grateful for that though because it has helped me to spend this pregnancy focusing on the wonderful experience instead of complaining about the hard parts. I think the hardest part now is the pain in my back and side and know that I will have to return to work.
