Hold Please...

Just wanted to send a little update on my life. Things are going really crazy as I try to prepare my classroom and get school started and start being a real "grown-up". If you could just keep me in your prayers (and maybe Ryan too) I would appreciate it. Making adult decisions can be challenging and difficult, but at the same time, it is easy when we know we are doing what the Lord wants us to do. I have found that some of the hardest challenges of life have to do with agency. Allowing people time to form their own choices, watching people make wrong choices or choices we don't agree with, etc. seem to be the hardest for me. As far as everything else goes, I am a "carni" at the fair serving snow cones...fun, huh? 13 hours yesterday and another 13 today, YEE-HAW!!!!!

I can hardly stand the suspense. I want time to speed up so you can have you first day at school and all the kids can know that they just won the teacher lottery. As the mom it is always a gamble to know that you are getting the NEW teacher. Little do they know.

Not only was Lorna a "carnie" but she was in the inner-circle at the fair. She would sit back behind the food booths, and say, "hey, I'd like blah blah blah" and guess what? Somebody would bring it to her! Next time you need a hookup with some of the peeps at the fair, give Lorni "carnie" Karren a Holla! LOL...

I'm with Leighann. Yep, it's the teacher lottery. And it feels so good when they realize it. :)

I want a slumber party too. How's that gonna work? Speaking of which, we need to start working on a sister's reunion. All the girls (and moms) partying all night long. WooHoo!

even though the fair may not have had the glamour of a more prestigious job it sounds like Lorna and Lisa had a pretty good time, minus the Crazy boss lady!!!
I'm game for the slumber party, maybe we could work it into a bridal shower :) No presure though.....

Can I come to the slumber party? I can stay awake just as long as any of the rest of you. Especially if there is something to do. Lets have a party without psychoanalyzing each other, or picking at our brothers' faults! Does this comment rule me out as a participant? I think a bridal party would be fun. I like Ryan.I, too, can hardly wait to hear about Lorna's first day a school.

What is up with all the non-yellows trying to plan a slumber party...lol. It sounds really great though. A bunch of us girls have gotten together the past two years and done scrapbooking at a hotel for 3 days...all night and all day...it has really been fun. $50 for the hotel all weekend per person...in a Marriott (one of them is a travel agent) Anyway, it could really be fun especially if we pick someplace exotic...any suggestions?
